To manage your account, including which emails you receive from us, log in to your Skillit account and go to My Account.

To reset your password, simply click the “Forgot password?” link within the Sign in process on our home page.  An email will be sent to you with instructions to reset your password.

You can delete your account through your dashboard.

Anyone can access the Skillit site to review information and Skillits available.  Anyone 18 years of age or over can book a Skillit, .  You will be required to create a Skillit account and provide us with some basic information in order to complete a booking.

Skillit and the Maker to determine whether a Learner with a disability can feasibly and safely participate in the Skillit and whether reasonable accommodations can be made.  Given the wide variety in types of Skillits, it is not possible to have a hard rule in place in this regard.

No, all sales are final and non-refundable. We invite you to provide honest and constructive feedback on the Maker and Skillit during the review process.

You submit the Makers form on our site (www.myskillit.com/makers) to create a listing and upload your best photo.  Once you sign up, we will send you a link to verify your email and you can start building your profile.  You then submit your profile for our review, and a SKILLIT team member will get back to you with any feedback via email.
 
Every proposed Skillit experience is reviewed to ensure it meets our quality standards.  When describing your proposed Skillit, make sure that it is compelling and memorable, that you use quality pictures and video, that your titles and descriptions are clear, there is a list of any supplies they need on hand, and that a full list of details is provided to help the Learner understand what they are buying.

Sign up to access an application at www.myskillit.com/makers. Once you sign up, we will send you a link to verify your email and start building your profile. Once you have completed the required information, please submit your profile for review. One of our representatives will review and get back to you with feedback via email.

You can communicate with a Maker via direct messaging on your Dashboard.  If the Maker does not respond, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will assist you in connecting.  It is important that you avoid using other means of communication outside of our website, as it may affect your rights regarding the Skillit and your ability to continue with us as a Learner.  For further information on this, please see our Terms and Conditions for Learners.

While we use reasonable efforts to limit the circumstances in which a maker can reschedule a Skillit, rescheduling may happen from time to time. For example, a Maker may reschedule a Skillit because of poor weather, emergencies or safety issues, or challenges with the venue at which a Skillit is being hosted. Rescheduled Skillits may take place on different dates, different times, and at different locations than were originally scheduled. If a Skillit is rescheduled by the maker, we will notify you of the rescheduled date for the Skillit. If you do not notify us – within 72 hours of such notification being sent – that you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, then you will be deemed to have agreed to the rescheduled date and will not be entitled to a refund unless the Skillit is canceled or except as otherwise set out in these TOS or in a refund policy that we may create from time to time and post on the Services. If you notify us within 72 hours of such notification being sent that you are unable to attend, then you will be entitled to a refund of all amounts paid to Skillit for such skillit. Skillit shall have no obligation to reimburse you for any related expenses that you have incurred, including transportation and lodging. We ask that all Adult Learners and Families who have taken a Skillit leave a review of the Maker and Skillit.  After the session, Learners receive an email with a survey, asking for their review of the experience, and are asked to complete it within 30 days after the Skillit.  This benefits the Maker, who is wanting to continuously improve through feedback, as well as future Learners who are considering the Skillit.  It also provides Skillit with an important means of quality control.  Learners can also leave private feedback for the Maker.

Your safety and well-being is our top priority.  If, for any reason, you and/or your family feel unsafe or uncomfortable during a Skillit, we advise you to politely remove yourself from the situation and contact our team as soon as possible.  If the Skillit is in-person and you feel physically at risk, please contact local authorities first, and Skillit second.  If your complaint is of a less urgent nature, please contact us at [email protected].   We also invite you to provide honest and constructive feedback on the Maker and Skillit during the review process.
